Welcome to today’s blog – the Dell Inspiron 5490 Review: Is it the best All-in-one PC?

Design & Build Quality

One of the reasons why people prefer All-in-one PCs is that they want a simple and elegant looking machine. That’s why the design of an All-in-one PC should be good. When it comes to design, the Dell Inspiron 5490 doesn’t disappoint. Considering the excellent design, it won’t be wrong to say that it’s one of the best looking All-in-one PC out there.

For a starter, you get a very elegant design with a silver look. It comes with the edge to edge Display with very thin bezels. On the back, you get the array of ports at the bottom, and the overall body of Dell Inspiron 5490 is also very thin, considering the stuff it’s carrying. Dell has also made some very interesting design choices in Inspiron 5490, which gives it a very distant look.

Normally, the speakers in All-in-one PCs are integrated into the body to give them a subtle look, but it’s not the case with Dell Inspiron 5490. It comes with sound-bar-inspired speakers at the bottom, which are visible, and honestly, they look very cool and give a unique look to the system. Also, the stand of the Dell Inspiron 5490 comes with a minimalistic look, and it goes well with any setup.

On the top, Dell Inspiron 5490 comes with the webcam, but dell has made it a pop-up camera. It is not just for aesthetics, but it’s also for privacy. When you are not using the camera, you can simply push it, and it will sit in the chassis. Dell has made these minor design choices, which enhance the overall experience and gives a very clean look to the system.

Dell Inspiron 5490 is a premium All-in-one PC, and it comes with the premium build quality. The system comes with an Aluminum build, which is a durable material, and it also gives a very premium look to it. The overall design & Build Quality of the Dell Inspiron 5490 is really good, and we don’t have any complaints about it.

Display

This Dell Inspiron PC comes with a 23.8-inch High-quality display that offers the best colour production and great viewing angles. The Display also gets bright enough, and it’s great for the indoor user. Also, the Display in the Dell Inspiron is an Anti-glare display, which means that the light won’t be reflecting from the Display, and you will get a glare-free experience. The overall Quality of the Display is really good, and it’s on par with the displays in other All-in-One PCs at this price range.

Performance

The Inspiron 5490 is a truly remarkable machine, and it offers a really good performance. The system comes with an Intel i5-10210U processor and 8 GB of RAM, a pretty powerful combination. It can easily handle moderate level tasks without any problem.

The system also comes with Intel UHD Graphics 6000 Series card, which is surely not as powerful as the dedicated GPUs but its considerably good. It can easily handle the most games at decent frame rates. But, still, if you want to play the AAA gaming titles such as God of War or Red Dead Redemption 2, you won’t get very high frame rates on this system. However, it is more than capable of handling the older titles, which doesn’t demand a lot of graphics power.

When it comes to sound Quality, this PC is also really good. The sound bard speakers at the bottom produce a great sound. Also, it comes with Dell’s very own CinemaSound Software, which elevates the sound experience, and it offers a more immersive audio experience, especially when you watch movies on the Dell Inspiron 5490.

Also, when it comes to ports, you get tons of them on Dell Inspiron 5490. It comes with a total of 11 ports, which includes the HDMI ports, USB 3.1 gen 2 types 3 port, Ethernet port, USB 2.0 type a port, 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type 1 Ports, universal Headphone Jack, and an SD Card Reader. As you can see, Dell Inspiron 5490 comes with a great number of ports, which should be enough to handle all of your ports’ needs.

The overall performance of the Dell Inspiron 5490 is really good, and we don’t have any complaints here. If you are looking for a capable All-in-one PC with solid design and great performance, the Dell Inspiron is a solid option for you.
