So many headsets on the market today are far overpriced for what they offer, making you splash out all of your cash for something pretty average. However, with the Bengoo G9000 gaming headset, you’re not only get a quality product, but you’re also getting a very reasonable price to go with it, so take a look at the review below and see if it’s for you…

Sound

Priced at $36, you will struggle to find a headset that offers better value for money than this one. The most important factor when it comes to a good headset is quality of sound, and the Bengoo G9000 certainly delivers in this department as it picks up absolutely everything and cancels out external noise as well. This is mainly down to the 40mm drivers that maximise the quality of sound you are receiving, so your gaming experienced will be enhanced through the use of this headset.

Durability

Nobody wants their headset to break after a couple days of using, so it is important to analyse the durability. With the Bengoo G9000, you are getting a fairly cheap product however, based on reviews and customer experience, this headset has shown very few examples of breaking easily or any pieces falling apart. You can expect this headset to last you for years without you having to splash out on a new one any time soon.

Accessories and Compatibility

The G9000 works with pretty much any device you could think of. For instance, Xbox 1, PS4, iPad, Tablet or even your own mobile phone, you will be able to use this headset on any of these and it will work just as smoothly. A lot of headsets out there today don’t run as well on certain devices which makes it hard to use for other things, but the Bengoo G9000 is consistent across all platforms and is a solid all-round option.

Microphone

Surprisingly, the microphone on this headset is omni-directional, therefore it picks up your voice with clarity, making it easier for you to communicate. However, this microphone has been criticised for being overly sensitive at times as it has the ability to pick the smallest of annoying sounds in the room you are gaming in. This is just being picky though; the microphone is of good enough quality to ensure that you don’t need to buy a replacement.

Comfort

Having a headset that is awkward to wear and makes you feel uncomfortable is never a good sign, so you should always look out for this when looking to buy a new headset. The Bengoo G9000’s best feature is actually its comfort as it has been carefully designed to be user friendly and easy to wear for vast durations of time. The ear cushions don’t rub against your ears, instead they provide a really soft platform that will allow you to game for hours on end if you want. On the other hand, the adjustable headband at the top may cling onto your hair if it is long enough, so bear that in mind if your hair is longer.

Verdict

The Bengoo G9000 has its flaws just like any other headset, however given the very reasonable price of this product, you can forgive them. The value for money here is superb as you are receiving a great all-round package, including quality sound, comfort, and durability. There are of course better headsets out there on the market, but if you are on a tighter budget and don’t want to spend excessive amounts, then this is certainly the headset for you.
